England Tour of India 2021: Schedule, Players To Watch

Team India has shown the world who is the boss again by dominating the Australian team at the Gabba. Fantasy Sports users are thrilled! Shubman Gill, with his class and Rishab Pant with his aggression, took away the hopes of the Australian team and handed them their first defeat at the Gabba after 31 long years. And now they are all set to face the England team who had a thumping series win against Sri Lanka, and are coming with their full strength and confidence to face the Gabba champions at their home ground.

India Vs England - Test 1

The first India Vs England test match was held at the MA Chidambaram stadium. The turning pitch at the Chidambaram made it hard for both team players to face the spinners. Despite the condition of the pitch and the spinners, Team England captain Joe Root went on to make a fantastic double century. He scored 218 runs from 377 balls while Dom Sibley and Ben Stokes scored 87 and 82 respectively and helped the captain to set a huge target of 578 runs for Team India in the first Innings.

In the first Innings, Indian team players Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Indian captain Virat Kohli were restricted by the England bowlers from contributing big scores to the team total. Nevertheless, the wall of Indian cricket team, Cheteshwar Pujara scored a brave 73 runs, and Rishab Pant scored a breathtaking 91 runs, while Washington Sundar stood unbeaten at 85 runs, bringing up the Indian team total to 337 runs.

In the second innings, both teams couldn't score beyond 200 runs, resulting in Team England's victory over India with 227 runs. Team India right arm spinner Ravichandran Ashwin taking a 6-wicket haul stood as the highlight for the second innings.

India Vs England - Test 2

Fantasy Sports reports the second India Vs England test match was held at the MA Chidambaram stadium. But this time, Team India completely dominated the England team, ending the consequent test match losses under Virat Kohli’s captaincy. Indian team batsman adapted to the pitch conditions quickly while the bowlers completely took advantage of the pitch conditions, handing Team England their defeat and ending their consecutive wins away from home.

Highlights

Ravichandran Ashwin's eye-feasting century in the second innings was the best thing for the entire second test match. With this century, Ravichandran Ashwin bagged his 5th international century. He not only spoke with the bat but also with the ball by taking a 5-wicket haul in the first innings.

Rohith Sharma scored a whopping 161 runs in the first innings showing that class is permanent. Thus Team India rewrote the history by winning over Team England with the highest margin of 317 runs. The previous highest margin victory of Team India over Team England was of 279 runs.
